Leonhard North - Na Vi - an old video I made

Sometimes there are great tracks I am listening to and I am eager to share them with others. Of course first I look up in YouTube. I can't even begin to describe my frustration and disappointment when I am unable to find that fine piece of music anywhere to share. That was the case with Na Vi by Leonard North. So I decided to look up for time-lapses of the night sky on YouTube and to combine them to create a clip, suitable for the music. It was two years ago, but here is my new blog now and as I am kinda proud of the final result of the video, I am sharing it here, although there is hardly anyone yet to see it aside of my few good friends... may be in time more people will be interested of my stuff.

Quasar - Stargazer

Ambient mix I compiled for the Perseid meteor shower this August. It is perfect for those nights under the stars outside the city, closer to the rest of the Universe. The mix is overall atmospheric, but have some vocal tunes also - some of them a bit surprising. The blend of the atmospheric tracks, vocal tracks (choir, actually) and cricket sounds are carrying universal peace. With Baraka by Michael Stearns we are just leaving the Earth. The Sun by Andrew Deutsch is an interesting element - the track is actually heavily transformed, modulated and blended sounds of ocean weaves. Xibalba is the most unusual track here - with it's orchestral music it is quite different, but the sound and feelings it brings it contributes greatly for our space journey. By the way watch the movie "The Fountain" from where this track is - great movie! We go back to the atmospheric and gradually add more electronic instruments with classics from Jarre and Vangelis until we reach the near end with Agnus Dei by Samuel Barber - music form Heaven itself. That choral part is the peak of our journey, revealing the vastness and greatness of the Cosmos. At the end we flow slowly into the sounds of ocean waves from Steve Roach's The Return - landing back on Earth after an hour of journey in space. Hope you enjoy it! Below is the tracklist and Soundcloud and Mixcloud players to stream it and download it :)
